ELECTION SELECTION- - - - - - WITH FUN

Could you pick the top 10 power positions of
the new administration coming up for a vote
in November of 2008. Here is your chance.

A couple of rules:
1- You can change your selections once a
month with a new vote and new personel.
2- You may submit your choices through
http//spoilerjohn.blogspot.com.
Tallies will be published bi-
monthly.
3- You must choose a president & a vice
president. The other jobs are optional.
Incidentally, they turned out to be the most
interesting.

We did this in 2004 and had real fun. Was
shocked at how many times I changed my
selections. I was a Republican then. Many of
my friends joined in & we had "selection
soirees" once a month that became twice a
month as election day drew closer. It was
great. Another wonderful happening with
these gatherings was the individual facts
& anecdotes (about the candidates) that
were discovered & discussed. Some were
spicy, some informative, some suprising.
Made one feel he/she actually knew the
politician. At the end we were all digging
for nuggets in Google and Wikipedia.

AND there was never a serious argument
among the men & women attendees.

Did it ever cross anyones mind that 20, 30, 40, or 50,
000 (who knows how many or where they're getting
them from) American soldiers are actually going to
the Middle East to be guards along the Iran/Iran bor-
der? After we bomb hell ot of Iran, soldiers, shiite
partisans, real terrorists will descend on Iran en
masse to team up with al Sadr's 60,000 armed
militia. Then our boys & girls can begin a war that
can last 30 years. Please note that the coalition of
the willing is rapidly becoming the "I'll hold your
coat brigade''.

WHAT DOES AMERICA GAIN IF VICTORY
IN IRAQ IS ACHIEVED?

We shan't go into the negatives the calamit-
ous conflict has ornamented (lies, dead and
maimed, ruined infrastructure, global standing,
unaccounted-for billions). The "Decider" sayeth
his NEW approach will strengthen us for the
shared sacrifices needed for victory. Huh? What?
NEW victory. Say again, please. What victory?

Here are some of the benefits of "victory".

1- It will necessitate 5 to 10 years more of war.
Only God knows who we'll be warring against then.

2- Gratitude from Iraq? Never. Win lose or draw a
billion Muslims will be emboldend to strike at us
physically and financially at any time.

3- American economy down. Japan, Europe, Russia,
China up. Major problems with our deficits.

4- Rise of Hamas, Hezbollah and a dozen alikes all
ready to hurt us any way they can. This could turn us
isolationist in a period of great leaps forward in
world technology which we should be leading.

5- The "Decider's" legacy will leave America a paper
tiger. UN countries will treat us as an over-the-hill-
gang.

6- Oil cmpanies will control Iraqi oil, not American
oil hustlers, so the whole damn war has been in vain,
hasn't it?

7- And don't forget the dead and wounded reports
every day, every goddam day.

Someone should ask the Pentagon spokesperson in
charge why he/she doesn't report the number of
wounded each time they give the number of deaths.

The American uncredited "facts" of Iran supplying
weapons to Iraq needs a booster shot to even sus-
pect it is something new. A charge was made the
Imams of Iran plot & planned shipping the stuff.
Lots of accusations, but,alas, not a single source
named. Sounds like the neocons are trying to re-
juvenate their hideous reputations with a new war.

What ever became of Bush's Bully Boy Bolton?
For all his rude, crude, tough-guy routine he
proved his metal when the going got tough.
He cut and run. Such a phoney baloney.

Bush and his repugs constantly chatter about our
robust economy. Would be nice if they spoke about
the imbalances which would indicate they might
know where-of they speak. e.g. Savings rate: all
time low. - Trade deficit: nightmarishly out of
control. - Our fiscal programs deficits: not sustain-
able. What would happen if China & Japan
turned off the spigot? - CEO income v. worker
income. Record discrepancy. - Under 10% of
college students come from lower end of our
economy. Reason: NOT lack of brain power, but
lack of asset power. It may take 30 years, but we
are scratching the middle class which will leave
only rich and poor.
The Pres. & the Repugs are like the mosquitos that
found themselves in a nudist colony. They didn't
know where to begin.

Yikes! Just thought if The Dick Cheney is officially
caught up with and needs attorneys what a cost he'd
run into. But, then there is little to be concerned
about The Dick, he always has Haliburton.

SURE, I BELIEVE IT, REALLY, really.

If it wasn't that he represented a serious sub-
ject, religion, Pastor Ted's mercurial flight
through fagotry and back would be knee slap-
ping funny.

Firstly the juicy scandal popped right around
last November's election when his male lover
blew the whistle on him. (no pun intended).
Many evangelicals blame Pastor Teddy for
allowing the Dems to grab control of Congress.

Secondly, Pastor Ted disappeared after the
charge, countercharge, admissions of the first
week. Many thought he was looking for the
Judas tree.

Thirdly, in January, 07, he surfaces and bent
on reforming, goes through a 3 week "cure"
of intensive psycho therapy and lo and behold
he is now 1oo% heterosexual.

Lastly, Pastor Ted's erstwhile "friend", an ad-
mitted gay man, said on t.v. that he never
heard of such a "cure". Such a spoilsport.

What adds to this joyous transubstantiation
is Pastor Ted's attitudee. He seems happy,
almost jaunty. -- -- --Can we wonder if -- -- --
well let's not go there. Let's just wish him
lots of luck.

Last week we wrote of Barak Obama having an op-
portunity to hit Fox News a severe body blow in re-
taliation for the dastardly madrasa lie leveled ag-
ainst him. Then Fox added Senator Clinton. We
suggested Barak ignore Fox & cordially refuse to
to appear on ANY format Fox may propose. All
Dems should participate, particularly the prom-
inent ones. Polite reason: other committments.

It was stunning to read the arrogance of Fox
staffers saying in effect the two Senators couldn't
& wouldn't do a damn thing about Fox's brazen
lie.

Know what would happen if the Dems refused Fox
appearances? The network would be stuck with
"guests" like Condi Mushroom Cloud and her like-
minded administration justifiers. Consider Dick
Morris and Benny Hill Gingrich a couple of times a
week. They would have to load up on telly hogs like
Kristol & Woolsey and other coat-holding neo-cons.

With these registered distortionists Fox's ratings
would go down for the count.

It would be so easy. No conspiracy. No blacklist.
Just no acceptance of any offers to be on Fox. It
would cause Fatso Ailes to shed pounds and
straighten up his act.

Lastly, if nothing is done just think what they'll
put together as the 2oo8 heats up. Fatso and
Shit Hume will become the prime distributors for
every two-bit 527 liar in the ball game.

A FEW BLOGLETS FROM HERE & THERE

I'm sure Barak Obama is aware if he deals with Fox
News he can expect more of the madrassas type of
lies. They will never be his friends or supporters.
Hope he snaps to the fact that if he plays it chilly
with Fox they will be the losers and he is in a win-
win situation. Fact is all Dems should ignore Fox
for multidinous reasons but one stands out: they
will NEVER get a fair shake from Fox.

Exxon admitted to profiting to the tune of 40
billion in 2006. Makes one wonder how much
they really made.

How many of the "surge " troops are combat?
How many are support? Has it crossed anyones'
alleged mind that shipping 40 to 50,000 men
& women are to have them protect Iraq's border
with Iran & Iraq's border with Syria? Couple of
weeks ago Maria Miami asked here about the
ratio of support-to-combat soldiers. Now it is a
hot subject because our Child Leader tried to
finesse the truth- -again. And The Silence Of The
Neo-Cons on the subject tells us how bloody bad
they really are.

SJ claims he thought Bob Gates was an ass kisser
when he headed the CIA. Doesn't he know ass
kissers rarely change their modus operandi?



Marvelous Molly Ivins has gone & it is a sad time
for Americans, for women, for humor, for honest,
prescient reasoning, for her fans and friends. Did
not know Molly personally & it is difficult to ex-
plain how sorry I feel. Will admit, however, to being
a bit miffed at her leaving before me.
